G2Connect to OutBreak WoW
Hello fellow OutBreakWoW Players,
I’ve just written up a short quick start guide on how to connect to our WoW Server to supplement Ilusion’s. Here goes:
[ Registration ]
You WILL need to register an account to login and start playing.
To do this, please use the link below to register an account.
Account Registration
Insert your desired username and password and Email Address.
Note that when you register, make sure that you have selected the Wrath of the Lich King option in the Drop List. This ensures that your account is Wrath of the Lich King Expansion type. Using this page you can also change your password by clicking on the Account Preview link and entering your username and password.
[ Installation of WoW WotLK ]
So now you have registered for an account. Now you need the Client if you don’t already. As i will say again, we have our very own hosting of the installation files which is powered by GetByte2U.com. First you have to download the 3.0.1 full client installation file @ 6.5GB, unrar it and proceed with the Installation. Once completed, proceed to the next step. Note that if you are upgrading from TBC to WotLK is it highly recommended that you know what you are doing because the upgrade process has caused many problems for people. It is always better to download the full client and patch from there.

- Just download the Wrath of the Lich King using torrent. Please use one of your favourite torrent sites like Isohunt or TPB and search for it. Torrents will have them.
[ Patch Setup ]
OutBr3ak WoW currently supports the official patch 3.1.3 and NOT 3.2 YET for World of Warcraft. Make sure you have the latest patch installed.
As I have said we have our own hosting of the files powered by GetByte2U.com FTP server. Use this link for patch links.
Once you have WotLK 3.0.1 client installed make sure that it is working. Now you will need to download and apply the following patches in order:
1. Patch 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 here
2. 3.0.2 to 3.0.3 here
3. 3.0.3 to 3.0.8 here
4. 3.0.8 to 3.0.8a here
5. 3.0.8a to 3.0.9 here
6. 3.0.9 to 3.1 here
7. 3.1 to 3.1.1 here
8. 3.1.1 to 3.1.1a here
9. 3.1.1a to 3.1.2 here
10. 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 here
To see what patch version you are currently running, run WoW.exe. Look at the bottom left corner of your WoW window. It will show the running version. Keep in mind that we are on 3.1.3 and NOT 3.2.x.

[ Realmlist Setup ]
You’re almost close to being connected to OutBreak WoW
In this step, you will need to modify your realmlist file.
To do this, please follow the following steps:
1) Go to your World of Warcraft directory.
The default directory is (C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft)
(Note : You may have installed it in another directory depending on your preference)
2) Go to Data/enUS folder
3) Open up the file named “realmlist.wtf” with notepad or any text editor.
Replace
set realmlist…..
and any other text lines with the following:
set realmlist wow.omgzone.net or 202.190.182.10
3) Its recommended to create a shortcut to WoW.exe on your desktop instead of using the already installed launcher to start playing. This is because the launcer will automatically synchronize your WoW to retail patch and it will update your client to 3.2. Outbreak WoW does not support 3.2 for now but it will come soon.
To create a shortcut, right click on WoW.exe and select Create Shortcut. Then drag and drop the new shortcut to your desktop. You may change the name if you wish. The reason why we ask you to do this is because the default launcher connects to the retail servers to check for updates and so doing your copy might get updated with the very latest patch and that patch may not be supported here (or on any MaNGOS/TrinityCore based server) yet.
So double click the new shortcut and start playing!
[ Downgrading from official patch ]
There are times when you dont realize that your client has updated itself to the latest patch. Retail WoW is now on to version 3.2 and our server does not currently support this version. We will upgrade when we have verified that the core and database support for 3.2 is stable and working. But for now you will just have to downgrade. Its a lengthy process so please bear with it.
1. Go to your World of Warcraft folder, usually C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft/
2. Find the /Data folder
3. Go into /enUS folder
4. Find and remove ‘patch-enus.mpq’
5. Open up repair.exe in your main World of Warcraft directory
6. Uncheck all check boxes and click the ‘Check files only’button
7. You have to let the repair run all the way to the end
8. You should be now at version 3.0.1
Now you have to patch back to 3.1.3 using the steps above.
Congratulations!
You have now successfully configured your World of Warcraft to connect to OutBreak WoW.
